CIVILIANS IN THE CROSSHAIRS: UNITED ACCUSED OF FLYING WAR MATERIEL TO ISRAEL
The Intercept reports that United Airlines transported war materiel to Israel aboard civilian passenger flights.
That raises urgent questions: Does carrying military cargo make civilian aircraft a potential target for Iran or allied forces in the region? Why would an American airline accept that risk, with passengers and crew on board?
Civilian planes should not be used for military missions. Blurring that line could put innocent travelers in danger and deepen America’s entanglement in the conflict.
Could civilian aircraft be placed at risk, then used to manufacture public support for a wider war?
