when an agent operates with global tool privileges, sub-agents escalate permissions and leak sensitive parameters silently with no error raised, and the failure only surfaces downstream when tainted context has already poisoned the run. scoping mcp tools strictly per sub-agent runtime and keeping persistence inside local sqlite rather than shared cloud state cuts the attack surface, and avoids adding pipeline latency. ambient authority in agent loops is always an architectural bug.
