We took a ride on a robotaxi on the Suntrax course and it successfully navigated all hazards — a kid running into the street, a crash with police stopping traffic, a Model S cutting us off, etc.

Florida has a 50 year low crime rate. When you enact law and order policies and support law enforcement, the bad guys pay the price.
Florida is now the safest big state in America. Miami, Orlando and Tampa combined had just 29 murders in the first half of 2026. That’s incredible leadership and police work. Miami had just 8 murders so far in 2026, down 50% from last year.

Great to be at the SunTrax Testing Grounds in Auburndale today to highlight Florida’s leadership in the future of transportation. By the end of this year, Florida will be actively testing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. SunTrax Air Ground is actively testing and supporting the deployment of autonomous and connected vehicles.
I was also proud to announce that @MyFDOT is partnering with @EmbryRiddle and @PolkState to help Florida students prepare for exciting career opportunities in the next generation of transportation. These workforce education partnerships support training and credentialing for politics, engineers, technicians, and other highly skilled careers.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has given $1.5 million to a group supporting the repeal of Alaska’s voting system, according to a report filed with the state Friday.
Ballot Measure 2, which will appear on the November ballot, seeks to repeal Alaska’s ranked choice voting method, along with open primaries and campaign finance laws that were themselves adopted by ballot measure in 2020.

Same here, our old car insurance company was giving us a $700+ discount at renewal. I told myself, let me try State Farm to see what they quote me...they gave us a $600 discount over our old company's already discounted rate, and for BETTER coverage than what we had prior.
Long story short, we're saving $1,300 for the year, with more robust liability and UM protection, and much smaller deductibles.
This was a major and pleasant surprise.
