Here's a closer look at that ON Ahri we ripped at
@colosseum HQ. The RNG god is here probably in preparation for the crazy TCG night tomorrow. And as a lifelong TCG nerd, I can tell you the success of a TCG comes down to one thing:
Tournaments.
MTG, Pokemon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, tournament drives demand, player base fosters collectors.
That's why we started going heavy on Riftbound since Vegas RQ. My only concern before it, as a League player since S1, was: would this be another big IP launching a TCG and then fading away, like we haven't seen enough?
Then we started seeing serious effort from
@riotgames itself, not only UVS Games, and we, as serial Riot game players, know what Riot can do, especially on tournaments.
At the same time, over the past 15 years, many of us who grew up playing League have become more financially established and gained more freedom to collect—and even invest. And with Riftbound, the game and world we love have finally become collectibles.
I’m seeing many people enter the TCG space for the first time through Riftbound and genuinely enjoy it. This new wave of players will create a meaningful new collector base, and many of them may primarily collect Riftbound rares.
I’m bullish on Riftbound’s long-term performance, and we’re going to make
@Rosentica One Arena the best digital place for anyone to enjoy Riftbound, community, experiences, and social gameplay. I’ll also start sharing some of my personal picks in Riftbound I believe could perform well over the long term. NFA, of course.
Will be at Collectors’ Night in SF tomorrow if anyone wants to chat or just learn the game. Come have fun!
