Every gun, mine, and guard tower on the Berlin Wall was pointed at East Germans. In 1957, the communist regime in East Germany made unauthorized emigration treason after an estimated 2.5 million people voted with their feet, fleeing the communist East towards the West. So in 1961, the authorities closed the border, called the wall “the Anti-Fascist Protection Rampart”, and gave border guards shoot to kill orders. People only ever risked their lives escaping in one direction.

Every intellectual who invents excuses for mass murder eventually learns the commie regime has no permanent use for useful idiots. Take Malcolm Caldwell, who spent the 1970s as a University of London Marxist dismissing every report of Khmer Rouge mass murder as Western propaganda and calling their peasant revolution “valid and valuable.” In December 1978, the regime invited him in as one of the few Westerners allowed since they took power. He left the meeting with Pol Pot euphoric. Hours later, he was shot inside the Phnom Penh guesthouse. They never said why.

In stark contrast to what Deng did in China, up to a million North Koreans starved to death in the 1990s because their government had already banned private farming and lived off Soviet handouts. The Soviet collapse in 1991 cut the free fuel and fertilizer that had kept the whole system afloat for decades, and energy imports dropped 75% almost overnight. North Korea had fully collectivized its farms since the 1950s, so farmers held almost no private plots and had zero reason to grow more than the state’s quota. When the free inputs vanished the system had no slack left. Floods in 1995 finished off what crops remained, and the Public Distribution System that nearly the entire population relied on for food simply collapsed in large parts of the country. City rations fell from 585 grams of grain a day in 1987 to 30 grams by 1997. The regime called it the “Arduous March”. And even after Kim Il Sung died the year the famine began, his son kept the exact same centrally planned system running for the next 17 years while hundreds of thousands starved. And that is the body count of full collectivization under communism.

They smashed babies against trees and murdered nearly 2 million Cambodians in under 4 years chasing a pure agrarian communist utopia with no cities, no money, and no private property. On April 17 1975, the Khmer Rouge rolled into Phnom Penh and within hours emptied the entire city, marching hospital patients and the elderly into the countryside on foot as they declared Year Zero and set out to erase every trace of the old society. Anyone tied to the past became a target and wearing glasses alone could get you killed because it proved you could read, while doctors, teachers, engineers, and monks were executed as enemies of the revolution. They turned a high school into a prison where roughly 20,000 people were tortured into confessing crimes that never happened, after which they were trucked to mass graves in the killing fields where executioners smashed infants against the killing tree to save bullets. But they never achieved a classless utopia so it wasn’t like real communism.

Zimbabwe destroyed itself the day it destroyed the people who produce. Confiscating 4,500 productive commercial farms from the people who actually knew how to run them and handing them to political allies with zero farming experience is precisely how you turn Africa’s breadbasket into a country that can’t feed itself and ends up printing 100 trillion dollar notes that won’t even cover a bus fare. Communism is grand.

Nothing says “we trust the American people” like another ban on a substance that millions use responsibly. Cigarettes and alcohol are still legal, but 7-OH gets shafted. “Capitalism is not a profit system, it is a profit and loss system, and the losses are more important than the profits.” —Milton Friedman But the US education system runs on the exact opposite principle. No failure allowed. Instead of closing or losing funding, failing schools get more taxpayer money, more administrators, and more programs. And bad teachers rarely face real consequences thanks to tenure and union protection. The “customers” (parents and kids) have almost no exit. Real per-pupil spending has nearly tripled since 1970 after inflation. NAEP scores flat or eroding in core skills for decades. PISA rankings middling at best, with math especially weak. Thomas Sowell diagnosed this in Inside American Education, asserting that the system is morally and intellectually bankrupt. It has turned into a propaganda operation more than an educator primarily pushing ideology, feelings, and self-esteem over knowledge and competence. With endless public money and zero market test, there is nothing forcing correction. Unions buy political protection so the failure machine keeps running. Friedman and Sowell both identified the same disease and the same cure, namely real competition and choice. Vouchers or education savings accounts let parents take the money and flee failure. Good schools grow, while bad ones finally face losses and must improve or die. Without the discipline of losses, mediocrity is subsidized forever. And the kids, especially in the worst districts, pay the permanent price. But that’s just the system working exactly as designed.

NYC’s rent freeze is a targeted hit on landlords. Force rents below what it costs to maintain a building and there’s nothing left for repairs. Places rot, then socialists use the decay they caused as the excuse to seize the properties. That’s the endgame. If they wanted prices to drop, they’d push for increasing supply. But it’s not. These people are thieves in office. Treat them like it.

We exist and work so leftists can rule over us. Our labor and taxes get extracted to build and sustain political clients who deliver power to the left at home and extend its reach abroad. Democrats expanded welfare after the War on Poverty to turn black Americans into a captured voting bloc. The new programs discouraged marriage and work. The rate of out-of-wedlock births rose from 24% in 1965 to above 70%. Black support for Democrats locked in at 90% or higher and has stayed there. The identical approach runs with illegal immigrants now. Policies drive large inflows. Taxpayer money then covers housing, healthcare, food, and schooling in Democrat areas. Fiscal estimates place the net annual cost near 150 billion dollars. Census counting of non-citizens shifts House seats and electoral votes toward the party that sustains the inflows. Abroad, the same funds support left leaning movements and governments through foreign aid and grants. Billions flow to organizations and projects that advance the broader agenda. Domestic clients and foreign allies draw from one source, taxes taken from working Americans. The record shows the pattern without interruption. Welfare after 1964 produced long-term dependents whose votes reward the party delivering benefits. Current immigration policies expand the dependent pool and alter political arithmetic. Foreign spending projects the model outward. Productive labor funds all of it so the left maintains control. The numbers on family structure, fiscal transfers, voting loyalty, and power allocation line up exactly. So work harder and pay your taxes, peasant.

It’s all fake and gay. Government and media manufactured the “class war” then pivoted to race war to absolve the state of blame for the 2008 crisis, sideline the Tea Party with racist media attacks, and consolidate power in leftist hands. The crash was produced by Fed money printing, Fannie and Freddie guarantees, and government mandates that forced risky loans into the system. When it collapsed the insiders got bailed out. The public absorbed the damage. The Tea Party demanded accountability for the bailouts and spending. Media met that challenge by branding the movement racist from the start. That attack neutralized a direct threat to big government and crony finance. Occupy was tolerated because it focused on banks and left the state’s central role untouched. And since the “racist” accusations worked on the Tea Party, the pivot to race delivered new tools for state expansion. Media usage of the word racist surged after 2012. Equity and systemic claims became the justification for deeper government reach into hiring, lending, education, and speech. The result is consolidated leftist power. The administrative state grew larger and more intrusive. Progressive ideology gained institutional dominance while opposition gets preemptively discredited rather than debated on substance. This sequence protected the government from reckoning with the crisis it created and shifted authority toward those who thrive on bigger government and identity based control. Now the woke narrative is crumbling, watch them pivot back to a class war.

The open society and its enemy, Soros. While he named his Open Society Foundations after Karl Popper’s “The Open Society and Its Enemies,” his project stands as a philosophical inversion of everything Popper defended. Popper’s open society rested on critical rationalism, the recognition that no one possesses final truth, that institutions must remain open to criticism and piecemeal reform, and that democracy functions as a method for removing rulers without bloodshed. He rejected historicism, the belief in iron laws of history that justify sacrificing present generations for a utopian future, and warned that such thinking inevitably produces closed, authoritarian societies. Soros has repurposed the label to advance a grand project of engineered demographic transformation. Through mass immigration, multiculturalism as official policy, and diversity mandates that prioritize group identity over individual merit and assimilation, his foundations actively dissolve the cultural continuity and social trust that make rational criticism and incremental change possible. Popper understood that openness requires a stable framework, a shared language of reason, basic cohesion, and institutions citizens feel they collectively own. Soros treats those foundations as obstacles to be overcome in the name of an abstract, borderless openness. The concrete results are visible. Parallel societies that operate under different norms, public spaces where debate on the scale and selection of immigration is treated as illegitimate, and the rise of identity based hierarchies that close off dissent in the name of equity. These are certainly not expansions of the open society, but new forms of closure, tribal in character, enforced through institutional capture rather than overt dictatorship, yet hostile to the very critical spirit Popper placed at the center of civilized life. Philosophically, Soros replaces Popper’s falsification and humility before reality with a new historicism, the conviction that global multiculturalism and open borders represent inevitable moral progress, and that resistance from actual existing communities constitutes the new enemy. The machinery funded in the name of openness does not test its own assumptions against evidence, it suppresses the questions. Those who still value the ideal of an open society should read Popper on their own terms. They will find that Soros has not extended the open society, but has supplied its most sophisticated contemporary enemies.

On this day in 1953, the Rosenbergs became good communists. Executed for passing Manhattan Project secrets to Stalin’s Soviet Union. They helped accelerate the nuclear threat from a regime already responsible for tens of millions dead through engineered famine, purges, and gulags. A system built to destroy private property, individual rights, and civilized society by design. The Rosenbergs got what traitors earn. So do those who still advance it.

The left just normalized so much insanity that basic self-preservation now gets called “far right extremism.” Decades of open borders and failed assimilation delivered parallel societies, welfare strain, and crime spikes in city after city. Green fanaticism delivered energy poverty and deindustrialization while virtue signaling. Woke ideology delivered confused kids, erased women, and attacks on national identity. And the result is voters across France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the UK and beyond are backing the parties the media smears as “far right.” Those parties are simply saying what was common sense centrist a generation ago. Secure borders. Citizens first. Affordable energy. Law and order. Protect children. Preserve your culture. The Overton window got dragged so far left that reality, sanity, and common sense now look radical.

It’s science. Higher BMI on Instagram lines up with fewer full body photos and more face only or cropped shots. The 2023 study showed that it’s positive body image, not the weight number itself driving it. So basically if you feel good about your body, you show more of it. If you don’t, you stick to the safest frame and keep it tight. And THAT is the real tell with a lot of the body positivity talk, my shitposting frens. If someone’s preaching acceptance but only ever posts face shots, they know exactly what they’re working with. Them actions don’t lie.

At 53% it’s basically a coin flip. Black Americans are about 14% of the population but make up 30% of larceny theft arrests, more than double their share. A lot of that return fraud comes from stolen goods or people straight up abusing the system. Stores fight back with tighter checks on higher risk situations, like no receipt returns. Do it right with a receipt and normal behavior and returns work fine for anybody. And yet…

If you’re wondering why it’s relevant to call this a muslim grooming gang (83-90% muslim) and why we wouldn’t apply the same label to some random gang which happens to be majority Christian: The reason is the perpetrators’ muslim identity was central to the crimes. These men specifically targeted non-muslim girls, particularly white British ones, because they viewed them as inferior “kuffar” (infidels) whom they could exploit. And they purposefully did not systematically abuse muslim girls in the same way. There was a very clear criteria for their targets and religion was a significant part of who the rapists were and who their victims were. And these victims were often dehumanized with slurs like “white slag” and “kuffar,” a mix of racial contempt and religious supremacism. Ignoring the religious element erases the full context of what was done to these girls and why it was allowed to continue for so long.

Maybe it’s not really just about protecting immigrants or muslims. When you look at why the left stayed quiet or made excuses for the Pakistani grooming gangs in the UK for years, a different question comes up. What if parts of the left simply don’t see pedophilia as a dealbreaker the way normal people do? In academia and activist circles, the push to reframe pedophiles as “minor-attracted persons,” an oppressed sexual minority that deserves affirmation instead of judgment, has become normalized in certain journals and organizations. A 2024 review found dozens of peer reviewed papers since 2015 promoting anti-stigma campaigns to make the public more accepting. B4U-ACT has spent years training therapists to treat minor attraction as a valid part of someone’s identity and continued hosting events promoting that view into 2025 and 2026. In 2024, Democratic Kentucky State Senator Karen Berg suggested on the floor that pedophiles should be given child sex dolls as a harm reduction measure. Even when Democrats controlled the White House under Biden, serious high level accountability on the Epstein network was slow and selective. Real pressure only intensified once it became useful against Trump. The victims waited. And just this year, the youth wing of the Dutch social liberal governing party argued that pedophilia is a born sexual orientation that should be taught in schools and that virtual child pornography might actually reduce real world abuse. This isn’t some old scandal from decades ago. These patterns are active right now. They wrap it all in therapyspeak and public health framing. But the direction stays the same.

“The barbarians never take a city until someone holds the gates open for them.” In 2009, Christopher Hitchens issued a direct warning that Britain has since ignored at its peril. He urged the British people to resist the encroachments of radical Islam while they still could before the right to voice dissent or even mild complaint was taken away from them. That day has arrived. Hitchens saw how the term “Islamophobia” was already being smuggled into the culture, not as a defense against genuine prejudice, but as a weapon to equate any criticism of Islamic doctrine or its absolutist preachings with racism and bigotry. This rhetorical tactic was advanced by radical Islamist networks, including Muslim Brotherhood affiliates, and enthusiastically adopted by progressive clergy, Christian and Jewish alike, along with the multiculturalist establishment in academia, media, and the bureaucracy. The result is exactly what Hitchens predicted. A de facto alliance between multicultural leftism and Islamist absolutism. One side eroded cultural confidence and free speech norms to hold the gates open. The other is now advancing through the breach. The choice is no longer abstract. Either the West fights to dismantle this alliance and its grip on its institutions, or the people of the West will forfeit their country, their culture, and their civilization. Heed Hitchens’s warning. Resist while you still can.

“Dr. Martin Luther King was one of the most racist people who ever walked upright on planet Earth. And somebody needs to say it!!!!!” The real problem holding people back isn’t missing “economic opportunity.” It’s a culture that refuses to show up on time, work consistently, or take ownership of building anything lasting. Bad attitudes, unreliable effort, and the inability to manage or be managed doom restaurants, businesses, and communities before they start. You can’t scale anything, a single restaurant or a global chain, when the workforce won’t do the right thing.
