But when you spend months poking the bear, stalking my account, messaging my friends behind my back, spreading false information about me and my reporting, and trying to sabotage my professional relationships, eventually you’re going to get the teeth. The damage she causes isn’t from what she posts publicly. It’s what she does behind the scenes. She privately messages my friends, my sources, and people I work with. She feeds them misinformation, lies about me and my reporting, and attempts to turn them against me. She has contacted people who were actively working with me during the Karmelo Anthony case. She has monitored my account after I blocked her and has even interacted with people she knew I was with in real time. That isn’t normal criticism. That’s obsessive behavior. The women she is defending are the same women who created and circulated what I have reported was a manipulated version of the Sea Tow audio along with a fabricated transcript that fueled accusations against Nolan Wells’ friends and made it appear as though they had m*rdered him. Even after those young men continued receiving threats, they kept targeting them and calling for arrests. Then, after being confronted, they edited their post (the one that targeted Bart) by changing “Bart” to “Buddy” before ultimately deleting it altogether. Too late. The internet is forever. After that, they turned their attention to me. They accused me of allowing my child to be s*xually abused, forced my daughter to relive deeply personal trauma, attacked me over the abuse I survived at the hands of my ex-husband, falsely labeled me a “p*do protector” and an abuser, and encouraged mass reporting of my Facebook account. Now Ami, who presents herself as a Texas “researcher” and “activist,” is publicly defending these SAME people. A woman who claims to care about victims and protecting children is standing beside people who targeted innocent young adults with false accusations and harassment. Women who were called out not just by me, but by many other voices. Their audio was completely debunked. Audio that, if it REALLY was evidence of a m*rder, should have been turned into authorities, but instead was used to create hate, harassment, and targeting online towards innocent kids. Ami has been stalking my account for months, messaging my friends, spreading misinformation behind the scenes, attempting to damage my professional relationships, and obsessively monitoring my activity. Enough is enough. Criticize my reporting all you want. That’s fair game. But stalking me, contacting people in my personal and professional circle, spreading falsehoods behind the scenes, and attempting to interfere with my work crosses a line. If this behavior continues, a cease-and-desist may be the next step. This has gone on long enough, and I’m done pretending it’s normal.
