I am unvaccinated. I never fell for any part of the Covid insanity. Not even for one solitary second. I’m sure I’ll have a handful of people who will unfollow me for admitting that openly now. That’s fine though, since we were correct. With that said, I’m shocked by how many people seem to compare AI fears to COVID. Many people suggest that “AI fear” and similar discussions are just another high level fear-mongering scheme. …Naw dude, most of us talking about this shit are just a bunch of nerds who enjoy leveraging AI and benefiting from it. We can simultaneously recognize legitimate possibilities about where this technology could take us as a civilization. It’s not political. It’s not marketing. It’s not fear mongering for some super secret capitalist agenda. It’s not that serious bro. Honestly, a lot of this is just fun to think about and discuss, as dark as those possibilities could be. There’s just as many positive outcome as negative, and the scale is incomprehensible in both directions. Talking about the possibilities of AI is a lot like thinking about the concept of infinity or a black hole. It’s just…fascinating. We’re living through such a transformative and unusual time. If you want to keep your eyes closed to that fact, that’s perfectly fine. But those of us discussing it are not falling for some top secret hidden political agenda. We’re just a bunch of nerds having fun talkin’ shop.

AI isn’t making lazy people productive. It’s making already productive people terrifyingly efficient while everyone else falls even further behind. AI can’t manufacture ambition where none exists. The top 10% benefit more than anyone else with AI. Do you agree or disagree?
