To fellow autistic men, is it normal for me as a man to prefer women who are soft, sensitive, and gentle and not muscular for relationships? Sorry if this is a silly question but the reason why I am asking this is because I have been told that my taste in women is weird and I have been told that as an autistic man who is vulnerable, I should look for a woman who is traditionally “masculine” as in muscular, rough and tough, a “protector”, and not show emotions. I prefer women like my wife who isn’t afraid to show emotions and don’t mind if she is not afraid to cry. I don’t like when society see certain emotions as masculine or feminine. People make me feel that as an autistic man, I need a “manly” woman who can protect me since I am autistic and I tell them that I can protect myself as my autonomy is more important than making a woman feel like a “man.” If anything my wife protects me in her own way. I am attracted to my wife’s chubby body and she overall is like a teddy bear to me.
