Rocket Lab is done being just a launch company โ it's buying its way into space infrastructure.
โ
The move: on June 29, Rocket Lab agreed to acquire Iridium ($IRDM), a global satellite-comms operator, for $8B in cash and stock. Expected to close by mid-2027.
The logic: launch + a working global satellite network, under one roof โ vertical integration the rest of the sector is still talking about.
The tailwind: NASA just tapped Electron for two 2027 science missions (PolSIR, TSIS-2), and SpaceX joins the Nasdaq 100 on July 7 โ the whole space complex is getting bid.
Launch was the entry ticket. Owning the network is the business.

Monday we asked who supplies the glass
Today the market started asking too

Glass substrates just got a fresh vote of confidence โ and few are asking who supplies the glass.
Last week Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan confirmed Intel is still investing in glass substrate packaging โ a reversal after reports it might be shelved.
The catch: Corning is one of three names controlling most of the world's low-CTE glass, and a furnace takes 12โ18 months to build.
Already moving: Amazon signed a multi-billion-dollar deal for Corning fiber to feed its AI data centers.
Glass substrates are a late-decade story. The supply chain is being priced now.

$MU just blew the doors off.
Fiscal Q3 revenue hit $41.46B, up 345.7% YoY โ crushing the $35.63B consensus. Adjusted EPS came in at $25.11 vs $20.49 expected.
Q4 guidance was raised to $50B (vs $43B consensus), with gross margin still seen at 86%.
On the call, the CEO reiterated that memory undersupply runs through 2027 โ and the 12-layer HBM4 ramp is already 2x the pace of HBM3E, with cumulative HBM4 revenue now past $ 1B
The memory super-cycle just got its clearest read yet.

Monday we flagged tonight as the week's big read โ $MU reports after the bell.
Consensus: ~$35.6B revenue, ~81.8% gross margin โ numbers that would've been unthinkable 18 months ago. This is the clearest read yet on whether the memory super-cycle is structural, not just cyclical.
Deutsche Bank just raised its target 50% to $1,500, citing DRAM demand outpacing supply through 2028.
The catch: MU has beaten in 9 of the last 10 quarters โ and the stock has often sold off anyway, on profit-taking.
Strong print โ green candle.

Reuters and Yonhap (June 24) report a ~90 trillion won (~$58B) share buyback to fund employee stock bonuses, rolling out in phases.
It lands as Samsung's chip division posted Q1 operating profit up ~48x YoY in the DRAM super-cycle โ and Samsung just reclaimed Korea's #
1# market-cap spot from SK Hynix.

09903 HK Iluvatar CoreX
โ
Nvidia's CEO says its China market share has effectively fallen to zero. That vacuum is now being filled โ and Iluvatar CoreX is stepping into it.
ByteDance is reportedly in talks to buy at least 50,000 of its chips this year, mostly for inference to power Doubao.
If it lands, Iluvatar becomes ByteDance's third domestic GPU supplier, though neither side has confirmed it. Shares jumped 12% on the report.
The case underneath the headline:
โ One of the few Chinese designers shipping both training and inference lines at volume
โ 2025 revenue ยฅ1.03B, +92% YoY; Huatai sees ยฅ3.04B this year on 100K+ units shipped
The counterweight: still lossmaking, with a TTM P/S near 116x โ above Cambricon and well above the HK semis average.
A post-IPO lockup unlocks in early July, adding supply into a sentiment-driven rally.
