When I was about 17, I had four minimum-wage jobs at the same time. I detailed newly painted cars, filled in periodically as a janitor at night, watched kids at a daycare center, and pumped gas when full service was a thing. The first two are now almost entirely staffed by illegals, boys aren't hired for daycare, and all of gas pumps are self service. All my jobs were eliminated. Before this, my dad immigrated to the US because farm equipment (mostly a thing called a "combine") eliminated his job, mostly manual farm labor. AI is scary and will eliminate jobs, but these observations leave me optimistic. I think we'll find things to do.
