A fake council letter telling residents to keep their daughters indoors because of asylum seekers has been circulating online.
It was fabricated.
Immigration is contentious enough without people manufacturing evidence to make others frightened or angry.

Apparently the first casualty of taking Britain back to the 1950s was the English language.
Funny how it’s always India, Pakistan and Bangladesh in these examples.
The same voting rules can apply to qualifying citizens from Australia, Canada and New Zealand too.
Somehow mentioning them doesn’t produce quite the same outrage.
