Attended the Claude Fable 5.1 Build Day Oslo!
Super inspiring and fun, thanks to @The_Whole_Daisy for coming and speaking!

I've been working on this one for a while, with a number of contributions from teammates! It's not the flashiest feature, but it's important to be thinking about maintainability of plugin/skill ecosystems, particularly for large-scale software engineering. Hopefully this helps!

See what value your plugin is adding, or if it needs more work.
You can create test cases, run your plugin or skill against those test cases, score those runs, then run each case again without the plugin to see the differences.

It's seriously a big step, y'all. I'm really surprised we went for 5.1 and not 5.5. Like all of the latest frontier models, the benchmarks don't tell the whole story, and I'm excited for the rest of the world to get a peek at how capable this model is!

I think the most ironic thing about the latest progress in AI is that we're probably now in a world where a computer is likely to be the first to prove or disprove P=NP.

Today we're releasing SendMessage tool for Claude Code, allowing it to message other Claude Code sessions directly (on any machine!). Here's a visualization Claude cooked up of all of my current sessions, connected and grouped by how recently they've sent each other messages.

Hot take: mechanical engineering now is starting to look like software engineering from a year ago, and mechanical engineering a year from now will look like software engineering today.
New in Claude Code: your sessions can now message each other.
Instead of having to re-explain yourself in another session, you can now tell Claude to do it. It sends a summary (not your history or files), and the other session picks it up mid-task.

Being at Anthropic is unreal right now. Today I saw an exponential fit of a log scale plot and I was like "seems right."
