A rental classic back in the day starring the legendary Hong Kong martial arts villain in many classic films like Outlaw Brothers and his battle with Cynthia Rothrock in Inspector Wears Skirts where he uses Monkey Style, Jeffery Falcon.
"A film where the Russians have taken over a nuked USA and Elvis is king of Lost Vegas, Buddy is a '50s rocker and wandering warrior rolled into one, too-cool package. Armed with his six-string in one hand and his sword in the other, Buddy is on his way to Vegas to succeed Elvis as King. Along the way, he saves an orphan who decides to tag along"

The upcoming @FilmsRadiance release in 4K UHD looks marvelous folks.
This is neither here nor there, but I’d probably sell my soul for a 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk like the one Don Johnson rides to hell in THE HOT SPOT.
If there is anything you guys need to pick up this year, is this release. I’ll drop my review tomorrow afternoon on it. Beautiful looking release.

Re-issued this October! @thirdwindowfilms brings back the much loved colourful comedy drama MEMORIES OF MATSUKO.
An epic tale of a woman's life from her childhood to her last days living like a tramp, as told from her nephews perspective when he is tasked to clear out her house.
There he finds each room full of hoarded possessions from her life, a life which slowly slipped into vice, gangs and prison.
Starring Miki Nakatani, the film has been described as AMELIE on speed, with it's theatrically designed hyper colourful musical set pieces to depict different stages of her life.

Very fun era in Hong Kong Cinema where the creativity by directors such as Yuen Woo-Ping, Ching Siu Tung & Clarence Fok was pushing genre of action to new heights from a visual and choreography approach.
With elements usually seen in the Wuxia genre with the wire work. Some of these directors started using that approach for hand to hand combat and combining it at times with gunplay.
Giving us action fans a dynamic visual experience that is very reminiscent of what we saw in comic and manga panels.

Finally got to see Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s The Samurai and The Prisoner. A beautiful Jidaigeki film wrapped in mystery told through seasons that tackles the themes of love, loyalty, morals and religion.
A film that is paced so well those two hours and 30mins flew by.
