Turns out 8hi HBM4 costs up to 20% MORE per Gb than 12hi, per private research reports. It's the likely spec for Rubin Ultra.
12hi is basically a bundle deal: buy 8, get 4 up to 50% off.
But 8hi yields far better. Potentially sweeter margins for memory makers.
