The United States and Ghana are strengthening a partnership built on shared security priorities.
On his first visit to Ghana, Assistant Secretary of War Daniel Zimmerman joined United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) Deputy Commander Lieutenant General John Brennan in meeting with senior Ghanaian officials in Accra to discuss cooperation on domestic, maritime, border, and regional security.
Their visit underscored the United States’ commitment to partnering with Ghana to advance security capabilities, protect Ghana’s sovereignty, and address shared regional challenges. Through joint training, medical readiness, education, and professional exchanges, the United States and Ghana continue working together to strengthen resilience, promote stability, and advance a more secure region.
