Lessons I learnt from a 160 years old tortoise.
1. Slow is not weak. Rushed is reckless.
2. Your shell is your responsibility
3. Progress looks ugly and no one claps for it
4. You’ll get mocked for being slow
5. You can’t skip steps
6. Stay in your race
7. Survival is better than Showing off
The tortoise wins because it’s willing to be patient when it feels pointless. That’s the part that hurts.
Reproach is expressing disapproval, blame, or calling someone out because something was wrong.
It’s uncomfortable but it’s also how people and relationships grow. Done right, reproach makes trust deeper. Done wrong, it builds walls.
