Our fathers are not perfect. They lived their own lives. You have to observe them, learn from them, take the positive and discard the negative. Every man is responsible for his own life.
Some people drink because they saw their father drinking. Some people don't drink because they saw their father drinking.
What you make of your upbringing and environment, is entirely up to you. The next generation should be better than the former. That is the whole point of education - to know how to think.
