Trending days are my kryptonite. They’ll fuck me with zero lubricant 7 out of 10 times. I know it. I own it. I’m working on it. Chop and balance? That’s where I eat. I’m primarily a mean-reversion trader. Marina is almost the exact opposite. She thrives in trend and struggles in the environments where I’m at my best. And I trained her. Good mentorship isn’t about creating a clone. It’s about helping someone discover and develop their own edge. That’s exactly why we work so well together. One trader’s kryptonite is another trader’s playground. Your edge is bigger than an entry setup. It’s knowing your environment. Knowing your strengths. Knowing when to press. One trending session doesn’t validate your entire strategy, and struggling during it doesn’t invalidate someone else’s. Markets don’t grade your mentor on one trend day. So, if you struggled today, stop beating yourself up. Maybe your strategy didn’t fail. Maybe you brought a knife to a gunfight. Stop trying to trade every market the same way. Know your environment.
