→ Lower memory usage on my machine
→ Less stuttering and fewer random slowdowns
→ Everything just feels more responsive
I honestly don’t remember the desktop app ever feeling this fast and efficient.
Whatever OpenAI changed under the hood, this is a pretty massive improvement.

I swear I'm not trolling: I've stopped using a browser. I'm only using ChatGPT desktop now. For Claude, Notion, Figma, all of it.
Using codex remote now, after a few weeks.
It actually got a lot better, its connecting in like 3 seconds, queued messages work, no issues with chats loading/sync w the desktop app.
