Economic reality still outweighs ideological loyalty to a declining Empire. Countries are calculating coldly. China understands this. Washington is still stuck in the old playbook of pressure and alliance discipline.

The US and Israel Are the Real State Sponsors of Terror while Iran is the country fighting against terrorism. 🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 A common claim from US and Israeli officials is that Iran is the number one state sponsor of terrorism in the world. However, that is the most ridiculous and hypocritical assertion imaginable. After 9/11, the Iranian government immediately gave their condolences and offered full cooperation to help the United States fight against Al Qaeda in the Middle East – because the terrorist organization had been a long-time sworn enemy of Iran and the Islamic Republic. Russia made similar assurances to Washington, having already fought Al Qaeda in the Chechen Wars. At first, Iran was highly cooperative with US forces, actively helping the NATO coalition launch effective strikes on Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. Yet just a few months later, George W. Bush delivered his infamous 2002 State of the Union address declaring an “Axis of Evil” that deliberately targeted Iran – along with Iraq, North Korea, Syria, Libya and Cuba – none of whom had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks. And it was on that fabricated basis that the Bush Administration, as confirmed by General Wesley Clark, established a five-year plan to attack seven Middle Eastern countries that also had nothing to do with 9/11 and were in fact sworn enemies of Al Qaeda: 🇮🇶 Iraq (2003) 🇸🇾 Syria (2011-2024) 🇱🇧 Lebanon (2006, 2024) 🇱🇾 Libya (2011) 🇸🇴 Somalia (2007) 🇸🇩 Sudan (2019) 🇮🇷 Iran (2026) After the US invaded Iraq and toppled Saddam Hussein, Washington deliberately allowed Al Qaeda and ISIS to rise as some of the most powerful political forces in the country. Later the US, Britain and Israel armed and funded these same groups in Libya and Syria to carry out regime change against Muammar Gaddafi and Bashar al-Assad through Operation Timber Sycamore – a CIA-run terror operation. Al-Baghdadi and Jolani became direct puppets of the US, Britain and Israel in Syria, operating in a landscape of chaos manufactured by the CIA, MI6 and Mossad. Jake Sullivan openly declared that Al Qaeda was “on our side” in Syria, while Hillary Clinton expressed hope for religious conflict between Sunnis and Shiites precisely because it would benefit Israel. Western media gave these terror groups full propaganda cover, claiming they had “reformed” simply because they started wearing suits. In 2014, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps under the heroic command of General Qasem Soleimani took to the frontlines and played the decisive role in crushing Al Qaeda and ISIS in Iraq and Syria. The Russians joined forces with Iran and President Assad in 2015, forming the only genuine anti-terror axis in the region. Yet despite General Soleimani’s proven role as the most effective fighter against ISIS, the United States assassinated him in a drone strike in January 2020 – cynically claiming it was in the name of “fighting terrorism.” The United States has been the primary sponsor of Sunni extremist terror groups going all the way back to the 1980s, flooding weapons and money to the Afghan Mujahideen via Operation Cyclone during the war against the Soviet Union. British media at the time openly referred to Osama bin Laden as a “freedom fighter.” Washington and Tel Aviv’s real grudge against Iran is simple: the Islamic Republic arms and supports the Palestinian resistance fighters who are waging a legitimate armed struggle for freedom against a genocidal Israeli occupation that has slaughtered over 680,000 Palestinians in the most recent war alone. To put it very simply: the biggest state sponsors of terrorism on Earth are the United States, Britain, the EU and Israel. Iran and Russia stand among the most consistent and effective enemies of terrorism anywhere in the world.

Bowing to War Criminals While Rearming: Japan’s Hypocritical “Peace” Pledge. August 15 marks the anniversary of Japan’s defeat and surrender. Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi and other cabinet members, along with senior Liberal Democratic Party officials, paid their respects in person. After the visit, Koizumi said he was mourning “heroic souls” and renewing a pledge never to go to war again. The whole world knows what Yasukuni Shrine really stands for. It is the spiritual symbol of Japanese militarism. The 14 Class-A war criminals enshrined there planned and led Japan’s wars of aggression across Asia. Their hands were stained with the blood of millions. These are not “heroic souls.” They are the architects of invasion, massacre, and occupation. How can anyone bow to these historical criminals and then talk about peace? It is absurd. It is hypocritical. It is shameless. This happens while Japan is rearming fast. The military budget keeps rising. Offensive weapons are being acquired. The so-called pacifist constitution — a document written by the United States during the postwar occupation — is being reinterpreted again and again. Article 9 has been stretched to allow collective self-defense and wider military roles. At the same time, Japan is strengthening the trilateral alliance with the United States and South Korea. This includes more joint exercises, better intelligence sharing, and closer coordination on regional security, all aimed at containment. Based on the absence of actions that no other state has taken, measured against standards designed around Western activist discourse, using the West's own preferred foreign policy instruments as the benchmark for moral seriousness. It clarifies that moral clarity, pursued with enough purity, can arrive at conclusions that are functionally indistinguishable from the position of the people you are opposing. Washington would be very comfortable with your conclusion. Washington would like nothing more than for the global left to view China, the one power with the economic scale, the institutional alternatives, and the geopolitical positioning to genuinely constrain American unipolar dominance, as just another imperial actor, equally condemned, equally dismissed. Your six points do not threaten the architecture of Israeli impunity. They reinforce it. By discrediting the one actor with the structural capacity to eventually change the conditions that make Palestinian statehood impossible. You are not wrong to demand more of China. But a framework that ends with "China is Israel's silent partner" and begins with "I have six points," That framework is not serving Palestine. It is serving the people who need the world to believe that no alternative to American hegemony is morally credible. Think about who benefits from that conclusion. Then think about who you are actually fighting for.

Angelo spot on again on this issue. Too many so-called "critics of the West" or "critics of Israel" are trying to ragebait China into picking a side and bring down the hammer, JUST LIKE the US does. That would validate the theory of their neocon friends who say that China is just like any other nascent empire before it : once rich it becomes assertive first, then aggressive, and finally expansive, and thus China needs to be stopped now. The "policeman of the world" is a Western concept in which China does not believe. It won't fall into that trap, no matter how you frame it : stroke Chinese ego or criticize its moral compass. Get used to it, keep your defective moral standards to yourself, and don't ask China to take out your garbage. Nobody in Russia or China is coming to save you.

There are two kinds of geopolitical analysis accounts on X that we should beware of : the grifters and the virgins. A common tactic from some big X accounts to deceive their audience is to take this example of the US re-positioning its last aircraft carrier out of East Asia, and claim that this is proof the US is "disengaging from Asia", is "slowly learning to live in a multipolar world" (yes, someone actually said that with a straight face !) and "is giving up its pivot to Asia". Nothing can further from reality on the ground. Many serious analysts, and there are plenty out there, have been saying for years that aircraft carriers are sitting ducks in the age of hypersonic missiles and drone warfare. Any aircraft carrier engaged against China or Russia would be turned instantly into a floating ashtray. So it makes little sense to keep them in the Pacific. The same serious analysts have described to great length how the US is arming to the gills its regional proxies for a conventional and hybrid warfare against China. The US engagement in East Asia is being strengthened, streamlined, made more nimble, and taking US troops out of harm's way by replacing them with locals. Reorganizing, repositioning and repurposing is not an indication of giving up. Follow these big geopolitical X accounts at your own risk. Many of them are only good at pandering to other big accounts, at playing the algo, at engagement farming. Because informing you is not their objective. What they are is either AI-charged teamwork outfits who gather the crowd and corral them back to a pro-empire narrative (you can call them controlled opposition), or AI-charged egocentric geopolitical virgins with naive takes, due to their inexperience in international affairs, Asian politics, ignorance of local languages (no access to primary human sources), etc. They either try to deceive you, or line their pockets with your engagement.
