Proud to say the Cerebro Launchpad beta is now ready. This is the first version we’re comfortable putting into the hands of the community. For now, you can create an agent and actually put your inference credits to use. The whole point was to start connecting what we’ve been building from the beginning. Credits aren’t supposed to just sit there forever. Now there’s somewhere for them to be consumed. Not every feature we’ve built is available in the beta yet. Some parts are still being tested and triple checked before we’re comfortable pushing them live. If you’ve followed Cerebro from the start, you’ve probably noticed we don’t really like shipping something just for the sake of saying it’s shipped. If something needs another day of testing, it gets another day. We’d rather do that than rush a feature out and spend the next week fixing something that could’ve been caught beforehand. That being said, bugs can still happen. You can test something a hundred times internally and real users will somehow find the one thing nobody thought of. That’s also part of why having the community use the beta is important. The Cerebro official page should be publishing a proper walkthrough later showing how to use the Launchpad. It’s definitely not rocket science, but we figured having everything explained in one place would make life easier for everyone. This is only the beta. There’s quite a bit more sitting behind it that you haven’t seen yet, and more of that will start coming out over the next few days. Feels good finally getting this one into your hands. The whole team has been pretty locked in the last couple of days, so here’s a proper update on where things are with Cerebro. The new Cerebro website is now live. The team has been rebuilding it around where the protocol is actually heading rather than continuing to patch the old version every time something new gets added. There are still a few things being cleaned up, but it gives Cerebro a much better foundation for what comes next. A couple of days ago we mentioned that more models were being added to the inference API. The latest update from the team is that the work is nearly finished, and everything should be completed by the end of tonight or tomorrow at the latest. Things will be patched in as they’re ready, so check the dApp and give it a refresh from time to time. Something new might appear before there’s even a post about it. On the credit side, distribution has been moving way faster than expected. Seeing more inference being distributed and more wallets participating has been really good to watch. It’s also nice seeing how many people genuinely believe in what Cerebro is trying to build. There was a comment the other day asking something along the lines of: “If too many inference credits keep getting distributed, doesn’t that eventually dilute the economy?” It’s a fair question, but it misses the other side of what’s being built. Credits aren’t designed to just accumulate forever. Agents consume them. That part will make a lot more sense as the next pieces of Cerebro start coming online. And one last thing. Once the Launchpad and Merry Man are released, the current docs are getting completely replaced. They were written for a much earlier version of Cerebro, and the project has already moved quite a bit beyond them. The next version will go much deeper into the architecture, inference infrastructure, APIs, protocol mechanics and how everything actually connects underneath. For now, the team is back at it.
