“We don’t want to let the quality bar slip just because we’re shipping more and faster. It just became a question of designing a system to enable that at this newer scale.” Excited to share our latest case study with the @Stripe design team! They gave us a behind-the-scenes look at tools they’ve built across product, brand, and content that allow them to do Stripe-level work at an incredible velocity. AI also clearly lets more people there participate in shipping great product, lets designers go way broader in their explorations, and even lets designers/engineers do work that simply wasn’t possible before AI (wait 'till you see how their brand team uses AI) Thanks @lil_dill and team for showing us what embracing AI effectively can look like! 0:00 – How AI is changing design at Stripe 1:48 – Using ProtoDash for high-fidelity prototyping 4:52 – Maintaining Stripe’s voice at scale with Dante 8:03 – Designing Stripe Press book covers 9:45 – Why now is a creative renaissance

Our AI in Design case study featuring @linear is live! A couple things stood out to me right away as we were talking to @karrisaarinen and team about how they use AI in their flow - 1. They go waaay deeper with AI before doing any work that most teams would categorize as “design” though they rightfully see it as a key part of the design process. This means asking AI for info on how a UI came to be, who has worked on it historically, why a certain change might work or not, etc. They really use AI to deeply understand the problem they’re about to tackle. 2. The way they use AI within Linear gives them a crazy advantage. Imagine asking something like: “What designer has touched this feature in the last 5 years and why does it work the way it does?” Good luck getting a good answer for this at most companies. At Linear they have all that context IN Linear… it’s a huge advantage they have and one they utilize to no end. This approach is an incredible way to save unnecessary iterations and ensure you’re building a product that’s moving the company in the right direction. Lots more great insights and examples in the full case study here -
