Great to see institutional staking providers finally adopting 0x02 validators at scale. Lido's migration of 260k+ validators is the kind of institutional adoption needed to unlock the full impact of the Pectra upgrade, with incentives centred on validator consolidation, operational efficiency, and reduced infrastructure overhead rather than simply reward compounding.
In our simulations and empirical analyses (using Ethereum data up to 30 June 2026), we found that solo stakers adopted 0x02 more aggressively due to stronger marginal compounding incentives, while institutional operators exhibited comparatively slower adoption despite much larger potential operational gains. Our results suggest that once large staking providers begin migrating, adoption can accelerate rapidly and unlock significant network-level efficiency improvements, a trend that can be tracked via the Entropy Advisors' Pectra Dune Dashboard:
