@burkeholland @RobKnight__ I'm getting pretty close. I got RDP running in the terminal. And this was per-app RDP, not full desktop. So we can build a full terminal windowing compositor and just render apps in the ASCII borders. 🎉

5 years? To remove a testing framework?
Crazy: A migration Asana's own engineers had scoped at five years took OpenAI's Codex agents about a week and a half.
The job was ripping out Enzyme, an obsolete React testing framework that blocked every attempt to upgrade the company's frontend and that nobody had been willing to touch, because the estimate ran to five years of engineering and roughly $6 million in staffing.
Up to four Codex agents worked in parallel on separate copies of the codebase from a five-sentence prompt, with engineers reviewing their proposals twice a day. The whole thing came in at roughly $12,000 in model and infrastructure costs.
So yeah, literally everything is accelerating.

There's also a wave of non-developers adopting the app who are using it in new and novel ways.

Because no AI access is allowed or budgeted.
In fact, I'm going to guess that this is likely the norm. And that blows my mind.

The visual Markdown editor in the @GitHub Copilot app is one of my favorite features. It's always the small things that make something delightful.
Based on replies, there are a LOT of folks who have minimal to zero AI access at work. Or they cannot install MCP's. Or their agent has no access to the internet, etc.
If that's you, keep pushing. And let us (tech co's) know what you need from us. What can we do to help?

In the span of 6 months, Grok went from "it's just ok" to "holy crap" for me.
Now slightly better than Kimi K3, but at the exact same cost per task.
