BREAKING: Starlink Router 4 is official. Starlink has added its next-generation Wi-Fi 7 router to its support pages, calling it the company’s “best-performing router yet.” Major upgrades over Router 3: • Wi-Fi 7 instead of Wi-Fi 6 • Faster peak speeds and device connections • Better performance in congested environments • Up to 3,500 sq. ft. of coverage, up from 3,200 sq. ft. • Connects up to 510 devices, more than double Router 3’s 235-device limit • Upgraded 4×5 radio on 5 GHz, compared with 4×4 • WPA3 security • Tri-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios for improved mesh performance • MU-MIMO and OFDMA • Two Ethernet ports, one WAN and one LAN • Power over Ethernet through a Dual PoE power supply • IP56 water resistance, LED status light and factory-reset button Router 4 can also lead a Starlink mesh network, with Router Mini, Router 3 and Router 2 joining as mesh nodes. With the official support documentation now live, a public launch could be coming very soon.
