Here’s why right turns still aren’t solved.
From time to time, FSD has a brain freeze when creeping out from behind a blind corner. Instead of slowly peeking out until it can see, it casually just goes for it.
There’s an approaching car completely hidden behind the wall here. FSD has no idea what’s coming.

Gonna drop this sick 360° dashcam view for all the chilren to play with in the next @CamCutApp update.
@MartyEarthy gave me the idea about 6 months ago when I first started building CamCut, but I really disliked that Tesla doesn’t provide the wide-angle front camera feed, so the transitions between the front and pillar cameras can’t be seamless.
You’ll have to live with the pillar gaps because I don’t want to fake it, but honestly, it’s not too bad. Kinda makes you feel like you’re sitting in the cockpit of a spaceship

Important PSA: Tesla now enables dashcam encryption by default. When it’s ON, your dashcam footage can only be viewed in the car or in Tesla’s official apps. Otherwise they are completely hidden.
If you want to view your saved clips in @CamCutApp or any other third party software you’ll need to disable the “Encrypt Dashcam Recordings” toggle in the Safety menu.

I spent a really long time on matrix rain road. This is probably the most alive I’ve been able to make FSD feel through telemetry visualizations.
I find it quite mesmerizing to watch. Hope you like it 😎

Rush hour traffic is the achilles heel of FSD in LA when making unprotected left turns. It has to push through as soon as a chance opens up. Either that or just remove unprotected left turns like these from navigation.

Nice example of FSD handling uncertainty. A scooter approaching from the side becomes fully occluded by the adjacent car, yet FSD still proceeds cautiously, anticipating it could emerge into our path. The scooter ultimately turned while hidden, but FSD didn’t assume it was gone.

I really wish FSD would punch it to get out of a sticky situation like this. If the truck kept sliding over it would’ve gotten real dangerous as there is nowhere to go.

.28 seconds reaction time. With the click of a button you’ll be able to automatically create a video that measures FSD’s reaction time using @CamCutApp. Probably my favorite feature
One area where I’d like to see FSD improve: recognizing high-occlusion environments. Densely parked cars next to hidden driveways create situations where a vehicle can suddenly appear with little warning for either driver. @Tesla_AI
