Rapidfire epic moments on FSD V14.3.5
1) FSD turns right into a small alley that only fits one car at a time, sees oncoming car, reverses out of alley to make space, realizes oncoming car is actually parking, re-enters alley.
2) Insane speed to vehicle cues. As FSD approaches the intersection at the end of the small alley, it yields for traffic, but at the SECOND the car to our left slows, it realizes they’re letting us go and executes with zero hesitation. You can see the nose of the vehicle on the far left side of the shot here to gauge reaction speed.
3) FSD approaches railroad traffic, clears the vehicle intersection, but stops shy of first RR track instead of queueing behind lead car, ignoring the human who decided to foolishly stop in front of the track.
This is why I’m bullish. This tech is just a constant mindblower when you’re out here using it.

It’s pretty incredible what the @Tesla_AI team just accomplished with FSD V14 Lite on 7-year-old HW3 hardware:
• HW3 has roughly 1/8th the memory bandwidth of HW4
• HW4 is ~3-5x faster overall for FSD workloads
• HW4 cameras have much higher resolution than HW3.
They pulled some magic here, absolutely amazing.

Engineering tests of the first production Cybercab have begun in Austin
v14 Lite Release Notes:
– Distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3. This allows HW3 to directly learn how to handle scenarios using HW4 V14 as a guide. This process unlocks the improvements that have been made to HW4 including Reinforcement Learning (RL) and offline models for HW3.
– Improved both proactive and reactive responsiveness across a wide variety of categories including navigation handling, merges and forks, pedestrian interactions, traffic lights, and vehicle cut-in scenarios.
– Improved general comfort in nominal scenarios through fewer false slowdowns, smoother steering and more consistent lane centering.
– Introduced parking, unparking, and reversing capabilities.
– Added Arrival Options for you to select where FSD should park: in a Parking Lot, on the Street, in a Driveway, or at the Curbside.
– Speed Profiles are now available at all times, to further customize driving style preference.

The AI3 computer only has ~15% of the effective memory bandwidth of AI4, so this was a tough challenge.
