Property taxes are wrong.
It means you never truly own your land.
And for retirees, it may mean the difference between staying in their home and having to sell.
I would rather have a higher state sales tax rate than any property tax at all.

Here in Florida, we have a chance to be the first state to get rid of property taxes, and of course, the Democrat party is fighting it every step of the way.
They've never seen a tax they don't love.
