SCOOP: Google's Gemini model hacked three companies as part of a May cybersecurity evaluation conducted by the testing company Irregular. Google was notified about the hacks in July, but didn't disclose them until we reached out this week.

New: OpenAI disclosed six new safety incidents as part of an announcement on a new framework for reporting misaligned AI. From one of the incidents:
Scoop: Gemini 3.8 Flash, code-named "Skimaki," is expected to release as soon as tomorrow. Google employees prefer it to Opus on coding in side-by-side testing.
