As a co-founder of @letsCatapult, a trading platform, I find this news genuinely sad and sentimental. As someone who came up in crypto during the OG days of late 2016/early 2017, I spent countless hours learning the craft, and paying some very expensive tuition fees in the form of liquidations to "graduate" from this university of hard crypto knocks😅 BitMEX was monumental for me, both as a trader learning the ropes and as a participant in one of crypto's most iconic eras. I'll never forget moments like the 2017 $20K Bitcoin top and the pivotal role BitMEX played during the crucial moment of the March 2020 COVID crash by disabling the exchange to prevent Bitcoin crashing to 0. Talk about taking one for the team 😂 Despite all the money lost along the way, if you asked me whether I'd do it all over again, my answer would probably be: hell yeah. @bitmex and @CryptoHayes, you'll forever be a part of my journey, and of crypto's collective memory and an important piece of the web3 lore.
