Which crypto cards are actually the best if you live outside the USA?
I’m currently using the following cards. Once you factor in the FX rate, the cashback on $3,000 eligible spend is roughly:
1.
@EtherFi Core: 0.83–1.33%
2.
@0xinfini Pro: 1.00%
3.
@EthenaPay Standard: 2.50%
4.
@Plasma Core: 0.45–1.45%
A few reminders behind these assumptions:
1. Plasma includes the $199 ÷ 12 = $16.58 monthly plan cost
2. EtherFi applies ~1–1.5% for non-USD/non-EUR spending
3. Ethena’s conversion isn’t guaranteed to be exactly 1%
At these cashback rates, you can probably google “credit card cashback” and find much better local options—cashback or miles up to 3%+.
So why are people still using crypto cards?
For me, it’s tedious to swap crypto into fiat, so I just use the cards directly.
If you do find an easier way to offramp your crypto into local fiat for less than the FX fees, I’d still highly suggest using a local credit card—so you can improve your credit score at the same time.
