There is a reason that the only people making these types of arguments are the extremely affluent. They feel like they have checked all of life’s boxes, and as a result they start resenting the fact that they are human and that like all us, they must also die.

The models are getting to the point where they are so good, almost no one will read source code in a year or two. There may be exceptions in industries like HFT or super hard tech, but when it comes to consumer products it will be the equivalent of reading a binary today.

Crypto used to feel kind of like playing an MMO, many of which captivated my adolescence. It was a fun culture full of hackers in hoodies and misfits who rejected the status quo in an attempt at doing something new & innovative.
