A high school rock band played a cover of the Sheena Ringo classic song “Marunouchi Sadistic”(1999).
I love that young people are still playing older music.
🇯🇵 Japanese actress and TV presenter Yuka Kageyama came to Dallas, Texas to cheer on the Japanese national soccer team Samurai Blue.
She was known for her coverage of the 2022 World Cup so we're all happy to see her again.

🇯🇵 Tsuwano, which is located in Shimane, Japan, is the perfect quiet little town. The town is surrounded by hills and is often compared to Kyoto for its traditional atmosphere.
I've only been here once before as a child and I absolutely loved it.

🇯🇵 Often in Japan, when people are crossing over train tracks, the barrier comes down only a few seconds later. This can be dangerous if you're not careful.
Thankfully, a random man saved this 90 year old lady only a few seconds from impact.

🇯🇵 Anime voice actress Kana Hanazawa called Domino's Pizza live on TV and used different anime character voices to order. However, the restaurant employee didn't react at all.
Instead, the employee stayed completely calm and professional the whole time. In Japan, we are trained to be composed no matter who the client is.
Sometimes it feels almost too much.... If I were her fan and realized it was her, I would've told her I was so excited to speak to her.

🇯🇵 I remember how popular Chrono Cross (1999) was years after it came out in Japan. I sometimes really miss old games where I would just have the character stand there so I could listen to the beautiful soundtrack like this one.
It was a simpler time.

This lady explains how to say a number of different car-related words in Japanese.
You're all going to be surprised at how easy it is to learn our language sometimes. 😅
Yasuomi Umetsu's "Kite" from 1998 features some incredible animation from the late 90s. I love the colors here so much.
This series was notorious for its time for being so unsettlingly graphic.

🇯🇵 A rainy night in Osaka. Rainy season has started. I'm going to enjoy this before the humid summer comes and going out becomes very difficult.
🇯🇵 Love the 1980s Japanese city pop sound. I wish we had more artists doing this type of music today. It's so positive and uplifting.
🇯🇵 After the last train, Shinjuku is still alive. While a lot of tourists love coming here, many of us Japanese tend to avoid it at night and consider it a bit "unclean" or "dangerous".
It definitely has a certain charm to it though.

🇯🇵 While a lot of tourists love going to chain ramen shops and standing in long lines, smaller shops such as Ramen Chonmage in Osaka are quite amazing. I went here once before and I found the staff to be so friendly.

🇯🇵At Abeno Harukas in Osaka, you can see an amazing view and eat delicious meat. I've never tried going to this restaurant but after seeing this I really want to.
The observation deck is really nice too especially at night.
