Smells like halal yield
Maybe the most unique swag for a Muslim startup ever? We just had a stellar event @nurhousechicago and gave out Goldsand ʿitr. Brought the ʿitr with me from Egypt, printed custom stickers, and my mom and I carefully stuck the labels on. The kindergarten arts and crafts skills do come in handy. If you're in Chicago and want swag, we have a few more ʿitr bottles handy. Download Goldsand and drop a comment so I can get you one.

I think there’s an essay to be written here. Web design is important, but the content/copy/positioning of your website + the tools you make available to humans and agents alike can shape the trajectory of your business more than ever.

The corollary here is that websites will be the most important marketing surface of the next decade (again), because they are the only digital marketing asset you have complete control over, and therefore there’ll be lots of interesting ways to interact with agents.

Introducing Ordinary Business, a new video series hosted by @jacob__titus. Our vision has always been to make every company narrative available to the right person. This is a new way to do it, on film. Episode 01: Why are technology companies still paying for wall space?

I’m starting a new show with @Quartr_App. It’s called Ordinary Business, and somehow I’m the host. I met @haris_chc and @oliverhamrin here earlier this year through a shared interest in old annual reports, business history, and design. They were looking for someone to make a show. I was looking for my next project, and some new collaborators. I didn’t know they’d be in Sweden. Here’s the first episode.

There are great service businesses ready to be built by simply destroying people's perception of a "good offer." 99% of the world wants you to own outcomes on their behalf, and also has no clue just how much LLMs + agents are capable of. You can be cheaper, better, and faster.

I have significantly more respect for SEO and search marketing (even AI-powered) than I do for short-form video automation. I’d rather you make it easy to find you when my search intent is high than to shove stuff down my throat unprompted.

Strange disconnect: companies all want to write a manifesto & build a "movement" but insist on staying apolitical. Manifestos & movements are necessarily political. They align with or challenge core beliefs about what society should be, what we should do with our time.

People better nail it with the annual reports next year.
