I told @BBCr4today rough sleeping got less political focus as Burnham’s mayoralty wore on - i.e. the GM approach was more of a ‘knock heads together’ than a durable policy.
Angela Rayner disagreed with that when she came on the show, but the numbers are pretty clear.

I’m staggered that Burnham has promised to end rough sleeping across the country. It was his biggest promise when he became mayor of Greater Manchester and he didn’t come close. Here are the numbers, as revealed by @ManchesterMill last month.

The Manchester Model has been so focused on building flats for private rent - many owned by overseas investors - that @_isaacrose called it “the neoliberal metropolis”...
Now its mayor says he believes in ending neoliberalism. All very strange for those of us who live here.
