The plant-based movement seems dead. Beyond Meat is down 99.6% in 5 years. It did a 1-for-30 reverse split this month just to stay listed on Nasdaq. Q1 2026 was their worst since 2019. The entire category is sinking. - US plant-based meat sales are down 10% in 25' - Vegan burgers in the fridge aisle down 34% by volume - 19 plant-based companies sold/shutdown last year Americans are also becoming less vegan. Gallup had 3% of Americans identifying as vegan in 2018. By 2023, it was 1%. Apparently, the main reason was health issues. 84% of vegetarians and vegans returned back to meat (within a year). And of those who left with health problems, 82% said their health improved once they started eating meat again (according to Faunalytics). Your body needs B12, iron, zinc, creatine, ferritin, and the looong list of nutrients every ex-vegan now preaches on the internet. The world is healing.
