I wrote about @CarnegieChina 's global AI talent tracker study, freshly updated with 2025 NeurIPS authorship stats.
Over the years, this study has been highly influential, even if you haven't heard about it. Ever wondered where that "China produces 50% of the AI talent" number came from? It's from the 2022 version of this study.

@TheStalwart Most policymakers didn't understand the basics of cloud computing when they wrote the rules: remote access, servers are for rent, physical location (mostly) irrelevant ;)
