Anybody who knows how to throw a proper jab (I'm saying it as a lifelong boxer and now a coach) knows this IS intentional and he is fishing with his thumb for eye damage. This is well drilled because it contradicts any jab form and IS done intentionally while being disguised as a jab. MMA is a joke without any decent rules so you can throw to the back of the head, low blow, gouge eyes as long as you disguised it long enough. If you've never been poked in the eye - you don't know how bad it is, it takes up to a month to recover and see normally if your eye got damaged. Now imagine being poked full power by somebody with extreme bone density and power. Disgusting.
