As clingy as I can be, I’m also a master at detachment. I can love your presence, crave your attention, get used to your energy, and still wake up one day and never reach for you again. Don’t confuse my attachment with dependency. I stay because I want to, not because I don’t know how to leave. Once something in me accepts that it’s over, you’ll meet a version of me that remembers everything and reaches for nothing.
