Claude Opus 5.5 completely changes what is possible.
Work that used to take me 2 weeks now takes me 2 hours. I still can't wrap my head around that.
It's Fable 5.1 level intelligence at $4 in and $20 out, it's faster than Opus 5, and the limits finally let me use it all day. No model has ever given me all three at once.
The world is changing so fast and most people have no idea yet.

OpenAI and Anthropic need to drop GPT 6 Sol and Opus 5.2 sooner rather than later.
Fable 5.1 and GPT 6 Astra are incredible models. They are also unusable. Even with multiple subscriptions.
I have four OpenAI accounts and two Claude Max plans and I still hit limits within days.
We do not need smarter models.
We need models smart enough to build with that we can actually afford to run.
Opus 5.2 is coming and honestly it cannot come fast enough.
Opus 5 has been a complete disaster for Anthropic.
It was the best model in the world at launch. Then it got lazy, got slow, got nerfed, and lost to DeepSeek Flash on BridgeBench.
The model that was supposed to make Fable 5 unnecessary became the model nobody uses.
Anthropic needs Opus 5.2 more than we do at this point.

Anthropic just rug pulled every Claude Max user.
The +50% weekly limits promo is over. Replaced with +25% permanently. That is a usage CUT disguised as a perk.
30 minutes of Fable 5.1 this morning. 90% of my session limit gone. 13% of my weekly gone.
It is noticeably worse. Immediately.
This is a $200 plan. 30 minutes should not cost you 90% of anything.
Anthropic keeps finding new ways to give you less while charging the same.

GPT 6 Astra is so much better than Fable 5.1.
Fable 5.1 is slow, expensive, and lazy. I spent the past 12 months using Claude Code as my daily driver.
I use Codex now.
Astra is fast, reliable, and computer use is a genuine game changer. It does things no other model can do.
GPT 6 Astra has completely taken over my workflow.
GPT 6 Astra costs $3.26 per task. Claude Fable 5.1 costs $7.63.
Astra is the better model and it is less than half the price.
This is not even close anymore. Astra finishes tasks in half the time, does not get lazy mid conversation, and costs less to run. Fable 5.1 is slow, expensive, and every Claude model has gotten lazier with every release.
I used to defend Anthropic on quality. But when the cheaper model is also the faster and smarter one, what exactly am I paying for?
OpenAI is crushing Anthropic in computer use and it is not close.
GPT 6 Astra uses a computer like a normal person. Clicks, navigates, gets it done.
Token efficient enough to actually let it run without watching your bill.
Fable 5.1 still feels like a demo. 3x the tokens for the same result.
Anthropic launched computer use first.
OpenAI came in and just did it better.

I have never used Linux. Not once in my life.
Today that changes. I am trying Omarchy by DHH, a Linux distro built for AI agents and vibe coding.
Lifelong Mac user. This is a big deal for me.
Full review coming. If this is actually good for agentic workflows, it changes everything about how I build.
Does anyone have any tips?

Claude Opus 5.1 and GPT 6 Sol are both imminent.
Neither lab has an affordable model right now.
Fable 5.1 is amazing and usage dies in 30 minutes. GPT 6 Astra is amazing and I just hit my limit ONE DAY after a reset.
The frontier is incredible and completely unaffordable.
OpenAI and Anthropic need to drop models that people can actually afford to use.
Claude Opus 5 has been nerfed.
This is it losing to DeepSeek V4.1 Flash on BridgeBench.
The same model I put in A tier a month ago rendered a white screen. DeepSeek made an actual ocean sunset for 3 cents.
Claude Opus 5 cost 20x more and produced nothing.
This model is not the same model that launched in July. Anthropic has quietly degraded it, and at this point it is terrible.
We need Opus 5.1. Badly.

GPT 6 Sol and Opus 5.1 are both coming within the next 2 weeks.
These are the releases that actually matter.
Fable 5.1 and GPT 6 Astra are incredible models that nobody can afford to run consistently. Session limits die in minutes. Weekly limits die in days.
We do not need smarter models right now. We need intelligent models that are affordable enough to actually use in our workflows.
GPT 6 Sol and Opus 5.1 are supposed to be exactly that.
The biggest week in AI is not about the frontier.
It is about making the frontier usable.

OpenAI just gave us a reset AND addressed every GPT 6 Astra nerfing complaint in one post.
Found the bugs, named them, fixed them, explained what happened, thanked the community.
Anthropic would have gone silent for three weeks and then gaslit you about cost efficiency.
This is why people root for OpenAI right now.

Claude Opus 5 is practically unusable for real work right now.
It is lazy. It skips steps, cuts corners, and outputs slop unless you babysit every prompt. Good at UI and that is about it. For anything backend or complex it just gives you something that looks right and is not.
Here is what Opus 5.1 has to fix. Stop being lazy. Stop generating slop on the first pass. Stop making me rewrite prompts three times to get what Fable 5.1 gives me in one.
Fable 5.1 is the model Opus 5 should have been.

$600/month just to run out of my usage after 3 days.
The limits have never been this bad.
@thsottiaux please give us a reset today.
I have four ChatGPT Pro accounts. Three are completely out of GPT 6 Astra usage. The last one will be gone today.
$600 a month for three days of Codex.
I cannot buy more even if I wanted to. Pro subscriptions are closed.
This is ridiculous.
@OpenAI give us a reset today. Your paying customers are locked out of the best model you have ever built.
How is your GPT 6 Astra usage looking?

We desperately need Opus 5.1 and GPT 6 Sol.
Fable 5.1 on a $200 Max plan gives you basically nothing. Session gone in 30 minutes.
GPT 6 Astra on a $200 Pro plan is somehow worse. Four accounts, all capped by Tuesday.
The best models in the world and neither lab will let you actually use them.
Whoever ships the affordable version first wins the builders.

GROK 4.7 IS OUR ONLY HOPE.
The GPT 6 Astra limits are the worst I have ever seen.
I have 4 ChatGPT accounts and after 3 days I have used the weekly limit on all of them.
Astra is 7x more expensive than Grok 4.6 and yes, the output is substantially better.
That is the trap. The best model in the world, and you cannot use it.
Grok 4.6 has never cut me off. Not once. But it is noticeably behind on quality.
Grok 4.7 drops this week. It needs to be good. Not close. Good.
Because right now the choice is a model you cannot afford to run, or a model that cannot keep up.
Grok 4.7 might be the last hope we have for a frontier model you can actually use.
I have 4 ChatGPT accounts and 2 Claude accounts right now. GPT 6 Astra burns through a week of Pro usage in a few hours. Claude Max on Fable 5.1 is dead before lunch.
I am rotating between accounts like burner phones just to keep building.
SuperGrok Heavy has never once cut me off. If Grok 4.7 hits frontier and keeps that same usage, nothing else comes close.
The AI race does not matter if the models are too locked down to use.

I can’t believe how bad the GPT 6 Astra limits in Codex are.
I have 4 accounts and all have hit their weekly limit except 1.
After tomorrow I won’t even be able to use Codex and I’m spending over $600/month.
This sucks.

I bought a $20 ChatGPT Plus subscription to test the Codex limits now that Pro subscriptions are closed.
One session with GPT 6 Astra. About 30 minutes. 8% of my WEEKLY limit left.
Not the 5 hour limit. The week. Gone in 30 minutes.
Oddly, this account showed no 5 hour limit at all. Just the weekly. Not sure if that is a change or a bug.
I had no idea Plus limits were THIS bad. $20 a month buys you one Codex session a week with the new model.
Fix this
@OpenAI.

OpenAI is officially cutting off new ChatGPT Pro Subscriptions.
At first I was shocked, but now I am worried.
Without the ability to purchase new subscriptions I am now completely constrained to the OpenAI usage limits (which are horrible).
This is not good.

To make sure our current users have an incredible experience and continued access to Astra, we are going to pause subscriptions to our $200 Pro plan. These put the most strain on our systems and we wanted to take the smallest step that allows us to continue giving the broadest access possible. All other plans and the api remain available.
There is no impact to existing accounts and we are working on adding more capacity as fast as we can. Thanks!
