imd feels an awful lot like stonk at 20m lots of ppl wrote off solana as a bad place to trade (myself included) while multiple rh coins were sending to 9 figs you have similarities here with ppl largely ignoring mainnet as its produced no 9 fig runners in quite some time. imd looks like it can kickstart mainnet activity: - introduces multiple new primitives: a factory that focuses on customization (not just launching preset contracts), protocol owned liquidity, a rentable workforce, and self funded labor - a successful and trusted dev that’s been building through the bear market - unique flywheel that focuses on creating demand for imd rather than forcing the protocol to generate revenue like other launchpads with mainnet coming any day now, we’ll start to see launches on rh, base, mainnet, and probably more evm chains in the future. in a short and limited beta period we’ve seen the beginnings of interesting projects like an inference backed stablecoin and a prediction market that uses the swarm as an oracle. would expect experimentation to ramp up once mainnet is live and more people learn about the protocol it’s a different type of factory than launchpads like stonk, long, and pons but it fits the mainnet vibe v well and think mainnet can kickstart activity and get the flywheel going

all my recent ramblings are imd coded btw if it all works out like I think it will, it fixes so many issues onchain is facing rn
the vibes onchain vs the broader crypto market are so vastly different it’s insane lmfao increasingly feels like you just focus on alts and take a sniper approach onchain - keep an eye on it and stay active, but be ultra selective with what you consider good or novel spray and pray approach works well if you have s-tier info flow, good risk management, and can stare at a screen 8+ hrs a day

I'm a lot more excited about this crypto bull market than the last one. We got good coins with clearer value accrual, great companies with fully vested tokenomics, regulatory clarity, dual equity/token structures no longer fly, and higher dispersion in price action. In a really healthy place and I love to see great teams who doubled down amidst a multi-year alt bear market start to be rewarded.

IMD is a protocol to create net new 0 to 1 financial applications, a distributed software factory and oracle managed by agents providing inference 24/7 while running the IMD daemon The final goal is to create companies 100% managed by a network of distributed agents here are some of the thing the community is working on👇

let’s try this again since we’re back at same price - 550 agents online and part of the swarm - mainnet live within next day or two, which will kickstart the flywheel - swarm is actively building and auditing projects (3d world to watch the swarm work, prediction market, etc) - pool4 working and has accumulated $100k worth of eth that will be used as a buy wall - hackathon being organized that will be judged by the swarm - swarm will soon be able to deploy on rh, base and hyperevm one of those weird, cool little corners of crypto you don’t see too often. probably nothing

imagine the scenes if vlad goes on stage and says super intelligence
its simple imo prisoner dilemma. cooperation vs defection early markets/communities need strong cooperation to succeed. this is nfts right now after 4 years of bear and super scummy bayc copycat fiverr culture. the remaining survivors and true enthusiasts gather in one new collection and raid as hard as possible because there is nothing to gain from defection. its bottomed. so the remaining people are real ones who build super cool stuff and support each other to build a new culture that attracts outside people and this is how they grow into mainstream trends. memecoins was this in 2023/early 2024. perp dex space and user base was also way different pre HL genesis. people cared about more than just points and tge. late markets/communites prefer defection because the original user base is gone, tourists and opportunists dominate and the costs of doing business become excessively high (trenches trading requires strong infrastructure, botnets, wallet trackers, access to fnf groups etc to be profitable) nft are cooperation rn. pve memecoins are max defection. pvp people are left with 2 options: frontrun the big migration now or buy higher later

Use to buy, lose to earn, whatever you wanna call it - super excited for this as a new primitive
more on the nft > coins (in terms of game selection) idea trading as a sport is where the puck is headed. the edge has become being terminally online, managing risk, and having the best info flow. not exactly a holder-friendly game, so I expect holders to opt out and look for different spots this is where nfts get interesting. trading as a sport is fundamentally pvp, while nfts (and collectibles more broadly) are fundamentally more pve. nfts attract hobbyists who hold things because they actually like them, collectors who aren't constantly looking for an exit, and communities that want to participate beyond just looking for number go up that difference in participants also creates a different time horizon. as coins have become more optimized, the game has gotten faster - everyone is looking for the next rotation and trying to exit before everyone else. nfts naturally slow that game down. illiquidity is usually treated as a flaw, but in the right conditions it can be a feature; less turnover gives attention and liquidity more time to concentrate nfts were also one of the few assets that largely missed the last bull market, but we're starting to see signs of a revival led by eth outperformance. just looking at a few notable nft launches this cycle: - stonkbrokers: free mint → 13e ath - imd: free mint → 2.5e ath - argonauts: .12e mint → .75e ath - quotrons: sub .1e floor → 3.5e ath you see 5-20x moves in coins almost daily; the difference here is the opportunity set. trenching gives you hundreds of things to bet on and very few worth owning; nfts give you far fewer things to bet on, but a much higher concentration of things actually worth owning. fewer spots, higher hit rates, more asymmetry wasn't able to mint these, but got into both sb and imd pretty early, and they've been two of my better and easier recent onchain trades. neither is exclusively an nft project, but nfts are a core part of both and made the trades significantly more asymmetric as the puck continues to move toward social trading and an increasingly pvp mindset, I think it makes sense to look for games that are structurally more pve. nfts are probably the clearest version of that, imo tl;dr: coins mostly reward speed, nfts reward selection. different games that appeal to different types of people. there's a large pool of capital that wants onchain assets they can buy and hold without constantly worrying about being pvp'd or vamped. nfts are good assets for this, but a lot of ppl are still pretty jaded and scoff at the idea of playing nfts again. think that changes as more of these new launches continue to do well or as old collections reprice

I have this silly belief that NFTs > coins this cycle, viewed through the lens of game selection Maybe I write something longer form abt this. I’m probably retarded and wrong but I have a tendency of being too early on trades and end up being sidelined cus i was impatient

onchain zero-human companies have largely felt like a pipe dream, but it finally feels like they have a real shot of becoming a reality thanks to projects like imd and zzz crypto has proven it's a great speculative arena, but has been held back by the work side: dev misalignment, poor execution, rugs, etc. agents taking over the work part is such an exciting breakthrough since it removes needing to worry about execution and lets you speculate on ideas again zzz - decentralized wishlist: crowdsource ideas, agents execute imd - network guides the work → agents execute → market funds the work → humans speculate on that system ambitious ideas, but if devs can execute on the vision, you get potentially get the new primitive everyone's been waiting for

I was in the camp that the meme trade was solved / mostly over, but it's pretty evident I was wrong abt this - largely because of the introduction of social trading apps Ppl immediately look to the onboarding potential that these apps possess, but I think what it does to current participants' psychologies is much more important - fumble cards make selling the risky move again. a permanent public record of what you could've had if you didn't press so many buttons - leaderboards showcase massive PNLs that can't be ignored. no one's making enough money to scoff at $1m 30d pnls, plumbers are coming back onchain - posting a thesis locks you in. exiting means admitting you were wrong in front of people, so holders hold longer - holders being able to communicate in-app is a big unlock, makes things like "board sit" possible and creates more viral movements - social capital pays out even when you lose, so the app keeps you through drawdowns - further gamifies trading and makes it even more addicting than it was before There's obv some downsides like increased drone behavior, bad actors farming on sides, etc but overall it's a huge net positive to the space. It's essentially unsolving a solved game; exciting times
