31 July 1993 | King Baudouin of the Belgians died at Villa Astrida in Motril, Spain.
Baudouin had undergone successful heart surgery in Paris in March 1992. He died suddenly of cardiac arrest at the age of 62 while on his summer vacation, just 16 months after the surgery
