August was another big month for
@crediblefin.
Credible crossed $1B in cumulative payments and processed $183M during the month.
The team also expanded its footprint across the strategically important Asian payments market.
1. $1B milestone
Credible crossed $1B in cumulative payments on August 14.
By month-end, total processed volume had reached $1.157B, including $183M in August alone.
2. More Asian payment rails
Credible launched IDR payouts in Indonesia through local bank transfers, GoPay and OVO.
The team also demonstrated USD→CNY settlement through its API.
The model is simple: businesses connect through one API, while Credible handles the local payment rails underneath.
3. Scaling the infrastructure
Credible migrated banking partners in a key emerging market and integrated its first card processor ahead of launch.
SOC 2 Type 2 audit preparation is now 90% complete.
The team also updated onboarding flows in two emerging markets to account for local regulatory requirements.
4. More transparency around CRED
Credible completed its Blockworks B2 Token Transparency Filing, now available on Bloomberg Terminal.
The filing covers ownership structure, token allocation, treasury and business structure.
On top of that, the team is evaluating external auditors ahead of publishing its financial statements.
5. September pipeline is already busy
The monthly update also gives us some hints about what to expect in September.
➝ Card processing is expected to go live for checkout.
➝ Naira pay-in and payout rails are coming.
➝ A European aggregator is integrating India rails.
➝ Two new accounts are launching across Nigeria and India.
And a large potential client that completed its pilot is expected to start transacting soon.
