wrote down some of the design thinking behind Grok Bot. persistent roles, clear state, scoped context, coordinated teams — an interface designed to move you from operating AI to delegating work.

design with code, directly on canvas. congrats on the launch @putrikarunian 🎉
it's happening 🥹 @lunagraphHQ is open not just a design canvas, but a visual editor for React this means you can design the full experience: from exploration to defining every state, interaction, and flow. and when it feels right, hand devs nicely packaged code, UX and all come design with code this weekend 🌸 (sound on 🔊)

not one agent. a team of them. @lingxi shows what happens when your Bots specialize, meet, and ship together. that's the future.
see you in sep!
Design teams are rewriting how they work, and nobody agrees on what the new version looks like yet. On September 10 we’re hosting Design x AI in San Francisco. Nine designers from @SpaceXAI, @SlackHQ, @evelegalai, @tryramp, @Atlassian, and @Amplitude_HQ will show what's actually working. Almost full, register now:

my personal website updates itself every time i go somewhere. i text my Grok Bot a photo of the place. it turns it into a 3D clay diorama, makes day + night versions, and pushes it live to my homepage in 2 minutes. no CMS. no admin panel. just texting a @bot from a ramen shop. 🍜

the best Bots shouldn’t stay personal. turn yours into a template and share it with anyone.
You can now share templates of your Bots with others.
did a quick demo of Grok @bot at the @a16z Design Engineer Fellowship demo night. really enjoyed seeing what everyone in the cohort has been working on. so many thoughtful, beautifully crafted demos across design and engineering.

you can't put the same designer, PM, and engineer on five projects at once. unless they're @bot s. Grok Bot v0.23.0 now has Channels. same team, different projects, same time.

making some Grok @bots and giving a few away tonight. if you’re coming to the Grok Bot Founder Build Night, lmk! should i turn them into keycaps so you can literally press the Grok Bot to talk to Grok Bot 🤔

i stopped checking on my agents. now they update me. subscribe a cloud agent to your work and let it follow along automatically. a small one i’ve been working on, try it in @cursor_ai now :)
We're continuing to improve cloud agents in Cursor. They pick up work from events, hold a goal until it's met, and stay on course through long sessions.
tips to keep your Grok Bots organized - pin your most-used Bots for quick access - resize the sidebar when you need more space - add titles so every Bot has a clear role - group Bots into sections

big week
Introducing Grok 4.6. It delivers frontier intelligence and is a significant improvement over Grok 4.5 at the same price.
feel extremely grateful that we finally got to work together, even if it felt far too short. in many ways, i followed in Ryo’s footsteps, moving to US, getting into tech, and eventually finding my own path along the way. grateful for all the ways you’ve shaped my journey, as both a friend and a mentor. hope the road ahead feels a little freer and lighter.

i left Cursor. after 10 years inside the tech bubble in San Francisco, Cursor felt like the sharpest version of that world – fast, intense, ambitious, full of people trying to pull the future closer. i’m leaving with gratitude, but also with the feeling that i need a different rhythm. slower time. different weather. more culture, aliveness, and humans in the everyday. Asia feels like the right place to begin again. to stay grounded, experience life more fully, and build freely. i’ll share what i find along the way!

“it’s taking the time to anticipate, to simulate, to consider how other people might feel. we call it taste in the end, but it’s just hard work.” taste is intentionality refined by sensitivity to details. it’s the ability to notice what most people walk past. that’s why the best dining experiences aren’t defined by a single dish, but by a thousand invisible decisions. the choreography, the pacing, the silence between courses. nothing feels accidental. true taste comes from seeing enough to recognize the difference, and caring enough to preserve it. you can feel it immediately, even if it’s almost impossible to articulate.

what. a. Config. 😮 I interviewed the new Chief Design Officer @loredanacrisan to go behind the scenes of today's @figma launches I think you'll really enjoy this one 👇
token maxing has more merit than people give it credit for. it forces you to unlearn how you work today, pushes you through assumptions you didn’t realize you had, and gradually breaks the mental walls around what you think an agent can or can’t do. that’s how you keep discovering the ceiling of agents in your own workflow.

the same photo feels priceless when you took it yourself, yet cheap when AI generated it. the same song feels valuable when an artist wrote it, yet disposable when AI can produce thousands in seconds. value doesn’t live in the artifact itself. it lives in scarcity, provenance, and our collective perception. that’s why AI is likely to disrupt software more than art: software is valued primarily for what it does, while art is valued largely for who created it.
