Cybercab is pure and beautiful. Question: @elonmusk what happens if a cyber cab breaks down for any reason? How does it get back for repairs without controls? Towed?

Roman's camera covers 100× Hubble's sky area in a single exposure. In Year 1, it will catalog ~1 billion galaxies — more than all of human astronomy history combined. Gathering the same data with Hubble would take 500 years of uninterrupted observation. We built a machine to do it in 12 months. We launched this week. Living during the singularity is AWESOME!

Starship just fired all 33 Raptor engines simultaneously — 74 million newtons of thrust. The Saturn V, the rocket that took humans to the Moon, produced 35 million newtons. It took humanity 55 years to more than double our most powerful machine. With AI compressing timelines on everything: the next doubling won't take 55 years. It won't take 5.

Sequencing the first human genome took 13 years and roughly $3 billion. It now costs a few hundred dollars. A variety of things are getting onto that same curve as technology advances.
Wealth is transitioning from owning things to increasingly having access to them. Abundance is key to making this happen.
Failure is NOT the opposite of success.

China has banned AI companions... How will the Western world respond? Here are my thoughts on how parents can support their children amidst this growing phenomenon.
The phone in your pocket has vastly more raw computing power, memory, and storage than the Apollo Guidance Computer that helped land humans on the Moon in 1969.

Around 1750 BCE, a Babylonian worker needed roughly 42 hours of labor to afford 1,000 lumen-hours of sesame-oil light.. With modern LED lighting, the same quantity can cost only a fraction of a second of average labor in some estimates. This is proof of how technology can drive down the labor-time price of a good.

If the news is optimizing for what is going wrong today, the data has been optimizing for what has been going right this century! Look how far we have come as humanity.
The truth is, you will never feel ready. Sometimes ready si something you become on the way.
The world used to move slowly enough that you could ignore it, but we're entering a phase of change that ignoring it can cost you. Stay hungry for knowledge, and don't be afraid to learn!
I do not want more years because I am afraid of dying. I want them because I am not finished being curious, and curiosity is the one appetite that has never once shrunk with age.

I announced a $10 million prize in 1996 without a dollar of prize money in hand. From 1996 to 2002, I pitched more than 150 philanthropists and sponsors, and heard no again and again. I kept the purse backed by an insurance policy while I searched for someone who believed. Six years later, I met the Ansari family, who funded the prize.  NEVER QUIT!

Even the people closest to a breakthrough can underestimate it. In 1901, Wilbur Wright recalled telling his brother Orville that humans would not fly for 50 years. Two years later, the brothers made the first successful powered, controlled flights.  Wilbur said that being so wrong gave him “such a shock” that he thereafter distrusted himself and avoided making predictions.

Elon predicted 100x gains in AI intelligence at fixed model size. It was at the edge of plausibility when he said it. Turns out it's now a fact. We are nowhere near the ceiling.
A robot outran Usain Bolt. A personalized cancer vaccine passed Phase 3. A virtual human cell went live. A million daily drone deliveries got announced. That was ONE week. What's the most underrated story I missed?
