No.
Was I still getting a great business-class experience for my birthday?
Absolutely.
Then the night before my trip, I got an alert.
My Air France flight had been canceled.
And the airline had rebooked me on...
Delta One.
No connection.
The exact flight I originally wanted.
For the same trip I had already planned.
I spent 80,000 miles instead of 420,000 and somehow ended up with the original dream itinerary anyway.
Sometimes the plan doesn't work out because something better is being arranged behind the scenes.
