The claim by the state is that she sent her husband out on errands purposefully, sending him to a restaurant far away that they had never gotten takeout from and sending him to the pharmacy, keeping him gone as she herded the children into the basement and methodically killed them one by one, face down, so they could not see their mother as they were strangled. That’s a plan. Everything those ladies are saying outside the courthouse, the ones dressed in pink and coral, may be true. What matters in the courtroom is: was there intent to commit this crime?”
