Nancy Grace says the focus in the Lindsay Clancy case should be on the three young victims, arguing prosecutors’ account points to a methodical plan to kill the children: “Every time I hear about this case, every time I watch the court proceedings, I hear the name Lindsay Clancy. Lindsay. No one mentions the names of the victims. I don’t think anybody even knows their names unless they’re reading a teleprompter. It’s Dawson, Cora, and Callan. Callan, just a few months old. One of the children tried to get away. Dawson was found in his father’s office. You were saying she killed one after the next. I think the point you are making legally is that it was methodical. The claim by the state is that she sent her husband out on errands purposefully, sending him to a restaurant far away that they had never gotten takeout from and sending him to the pharmacy, keeping him gone as she herded the children into the basement and methodically killed them one by one, face down, so they could not see their mother as they were strangled. That’s a plan. Everything those ladies are saying outside the courthouse, the ones dressed in pink and coral, may be true. What matters in the courtroom is: was there intent to commit this crime?”
