I used to skip creating a proper moodboard for my previous app designs. But now I realize I have been doing it wrong.
Before I used to do these:
- Find out myself who are my competitors
- Download every app and take screenshots manually
- Save UI screenshots here and there or bookmark what I like
- Screen record whole UI flow
It was time consuming and not the proper way If I be honest. But now as I'm designing my app Caplar, I'm trying to do it the right way.
And
@mobbin helps a lot in the moodboarding journey. Now I do the followings:
- Decide which feature I'm going to design
- Search that feature on Mobbin and find UI that I like
- Bring them in Figma
- Sort screenshots by features
And boom, everything feels much easier now. What's your take on moodboarding for big projects?
