Found a new way to design my apps better and faster with @cursor_ai. I added the @mobbin MCP server to my Cursor Agent and asked it to research common design patterns before it started coding the page. In the past I did the research myself, copied designs I liked, and pasted them into Cursor, telling it to take inspiration from the design and code it accordingly. Thanks to the Mobbin MCP I don’t have to do that anymore, it saves me a lot of time and greatly improves my app designs.

The design inspiration space has come a long way over the past decade. After 8.5 years of building @Mobbin, I’ve learned just how hard it is to consistently curate high-quality content while continuing to improve the overall user experience. Mad respect to everyone pushing the space forward - incredible builders like @raffichill, @darylginn & @bbssppllvv who keep raising the bar, @howells and @bertwitt for playing the long game, and OGs like @robinraszka who paved the way with Pttrns. Excited to see how the space will evolve - and how much more value we can create for designers and builders moving forward 🫡

I used to skip creating a proper moodboard for my previous app designs. But now I realize I have been doing it wrong. Before I used to do these: - Find out myself who are my competitors - Download every app and take screenshots manually - Save UI screenshots here and there or bookmark what I like - Screen record whole UI flow It was time consuming and not the proper way If I be honest. But now as I'm designing my app Caplar, I'm trying to do it the right way. And @mobbin helps a lot in the moodboarding journey. Now I do the followings: - Decide which feature I'm going to design - Search that feature on Mobbin and find UI that I like - Bring them in Figma - Sort screenshots by features And boom, everything feels much easier now. What's your take on moodboarding for big projects?
